Danger: Choking Small magnets can be swallowed. Magnets are not toys and are not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Warning: Bruising The strong magnetic forces can cause bruising. Warning: Metal Fragments Neodymium magnets are hard and brittle. When they collide due to magnetic attraction, they can shatter into many sharp fragments. Caution: Magnetic Field The magnetic fields surrounding a permanent magnet can damage electronic devices or magnetic strips, such as those found on credit cards. A distance of 0.5 m is usually sufficient to avoid damage. Warning: Pacemakers People with pacemakers should absolutely avoid magnetic fields. Magnets can interfere with the function of pacemakers and implanted defibrillators. A pacemaker may enter test mode and cause discomfort. A defibrillator may stop functioning. If you have such a device, maintain a safe distance from magnets. The wearer of such devices must be warned before approaching magnets.
